Lorenzo Kim has handled a wide range of corporate litigation and criminal matters in Korea. Over more than twenty years as a career prosecutor, he served as Chief Prosecutor at the Seoul High Prosecutors Office, Suwon District Prosecutors Office and Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office, and as Branch Chief Prosecutor at the Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors Office, the Mokpo Branch of the Gwangju District Prosecutors Office and the Namwon Branch of the Jeonju District Prosecutors Office, where he led numerous major trial and prosecution matters. At SJKP's Asian headquarters, he brings extensive expertise across real estate, criminal law and medical law, and has handled many high-profile cases in these fields. His representative matters include the Daejang-dong development preferential-treatment investigation, the Baekhyeon-dong development case, medical law violations involving hospitals, embezzlement cases involving shipping and heavy industry companies and large-scale methamphetamine smuggling cases. He has also secured acquittals and non-prosecution decisions in a wide range of criminal matters, including sexual offenses, narcotics cases, traffic accidents and embezzlement. Notably, he obtained a non-prosecution decision in a habitual cannabis-use case and a no-charge decision in a special rape case, consistently delivering outcomes that meet client expectations.
