Overview
Paul Cho has served as Prosecutor, Chief Prosecutor and Deputy Chief Prosecutor at various prosecutors’ offices in Korea, and has held top leadership positions including Chief Prosecutor of the Daegu District Prosecutors Office, Chief Prosecutor of the Ulsan District Prosecutors Office and Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office. During his tenure with the prosecution, he handled major criminal and civil matters involving large corporations, as well as significant cases in tax, finance, fair trade, intellectual property, capital markets, anti-corruption and compliance, building extensive investigative experience. He has also provided legal services based on strong capabilities in digital forensics, trial strategy, arbitration and mediation. In addition, as Director General for Human Rights at the Ministry of Justice, he oversaw policy initiatives related to human rights protection, legal aid, and victim protection. Mr. Cho later served as a Managing Partner at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (HwaWoo), where he advised leading multinational corporations and major domestic companies on matters involving abuse of market dominance, unfair trade practices, mergers and acquisitions and regulatory investigations. Currently, he leads SJKP Asian headquarters' work in corporate crime, finance, tax and criminal litigation, consistently delivering results that meet client expectations.
