James Kim, Of Counsel

James Kim began his career in Korea as a prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors Office and went on to serve at the Sangju Branch of the Daegu District Prosecutors Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors Office and the Gwangju High Prosecutors Office. With more than 20 years of experience as a prosecutor, including roles as Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Cheongju District Prosecutors Office and Chief Prosecutor at the Busan District Prosecutors Office and the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors Office, he has accumulated extensive practical knowledge and expertise. He also served as a Judge Advocate and Military Prosecutor in the Army, gaining significant experience in military criminal matters and building strong specialization in cases involving violations of the Military Criminal Act. At the Asian headquarters of SJKP, Mr. Kim is handling major criminal matters including general criminal cases, corporate crime, property crime, complaint based investigations and prosecution response work. He has achieved numerous favorable outcomes, including acquittals, non referral decisions and non prosecution decisions.
