Overview
Before entering private practice, Sam Jo served in key prosecutorial positions in Korea, including Chief Prosecutor of the Criminal Division V at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Director of the Public Security Division I at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office and Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Suncheon Branch of the Gwangju District Prosecutors’ Office. He also broadened his legal expertise through secondments as a Constitutional Research Officer at the Constitutional Court of Korea and Legal Advisor to the Minister of Knowledge Economy. Alongside his professional career, Mr. Jo pursued advanced studies in information technology, earning both a master’s and a Doctoral degree from Soongsil University Graduate School, where he focused on the intersection of law and IT. As an attorney, he has participated in numerous high-profile cases of public interest and currently serves as a Committee Member of the Mining Adjustment Committee under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Broadcasting Dispute Mediation Committee under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
