Robert Kim, Of Counsel

Robert Kim began his career in Korea as a prosecutor at the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office and went on to serve at the Suncheon Branch and Gwangju District Prosecutors’ Office, the Litigation Division of the Ministry of Justice, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, and the Jeju District Prosecutors’ Office. He later held senior prosecutorial positions including Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Jeju District Prosecutors’ Office, Chief Prosecutor of the Hongseong Branch of the Daejeon District Prosecutors’ Office, Acting Chief Prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, and Chief Prosecutor of the Criminal Division 4 and Criminal Division 3 at the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors’ Office. He has also served as an Instructor at the Judicial Research and Training Institute and the Legal Training Institute, and has held board positions at both the Seoul Bar Association and the Korean Bar Association, underscoring his standing within the legal community. During his tenure as Chief Prosecutor at the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors’ Office, he handled a significant number of sexual-offense cases, developing deep expertise in crimes such as rape, quasi-rape, indecent assault, and possession of sexual exploitation material. Currently at the Asian headquarters of SJKP, Mr. Kim handles a wide range of criminal matters including fraud, assault, intimidation, DUI-related traffic crime cases, and cannabis and narcotics matters, providing clients with highly sophisticated and effective legal representation.
