Philip Jung, Of Counsel

Philip Jung began his career in Korea as a prosecutor at the Uijeongbu Branch of the Seoul District Prosecutors Office and went on to serve in senior roles such as Senior Prosecutor at the Gunsan Branch of the Jeonju District Prosecutors Office, Chief Prosecutor of the First Division at the Cheonan Branch of the Daejeon District Prosecutors Office and Chief Prosecutor of the Third Division at the Ansan Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors Office. Throughout his long prosecutorial career across multiple regions, he handled a wide range of matters including corporate criminal cases, property crimes, sexual offense cases and complaint based investigations. He also served as an external member of the Committee for the Return of Crime Victim Property at the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors Office and as a member of the Supreme Court Appeal Review Committee, contributing to various criminal case review activities. At SJKP's Asian headquarters, he oversees the Criminal Law Group. Drawing on extensive experience gained throughout the criminal litigation process, he has obtained favorable outcomes for clients, including acquittals, reduced sentences and decisions not to refer cases for prosecution.
