William Park, Of Counsel

William Park graduated as a member of the third class of the Korean National Police University and began his career at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, serving in the Investigation Department and the Intelligence and Foreign Affairs Bureau. He later became a prosecutor and served at the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office, Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Seoul Northern District Prosecutors’ Office and Uijeongbu District Prosecutors’ Office in Korea. He went on to hold senior prosecutorial positions, including Chief Prosecutor at the Gimcheon Branch of the Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office, Chief Prosecutor of Criminal Division Two at the Cheongju District Prosecutors’ Office and Chief Prosecutor at the Seoul High Prosecutors’ Office. With a career largely focused on criminal divisions, he leveraged his background in law enforcement to secure imprisonment sentences in numerous major cases, including violations of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, homicide, and fraud. After transitioning to private practice, he continued his work at a major law firm, handling significant criminal and international litigation matters. At SJKP's Asian headquarters, he plays a central role in the firm’s Criminal Law Group, DUI and Traffic Crimes Group and International Litigation Group, providing strong and authoritative advocacy on behalf of his clients.
