Daniel Kim, Of Counsel

Daniel Kim began his career in Korea as a prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office, Northern Branch, and subsequently served at the Haenam Branch of the Gwangju District Prosecutors Office, the Incheon District Prosecutors Office and the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office. He later held senior roles including Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Busan District Prosecutors Office, Chief Prosecutor of the Trial Division at the Busan District Prosecutors Office and Chief Prosecutor of the Violent Crime Division at the Gwangju District Prosecutors Office. With his long prosecutorial career, he has built substantial experience in major criminal matters, particularly narcotics offenses and sexual crimes. Notably, he served in all three of Korea’s major narcotics investigation hubs, including as a Prosecutor in the Narcotics Investigation Division of the Incheon District Prosecutors Office, Senior Prosecutor in the Violent Crime Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office, and Deputy Chief Prosecutor in Busan, as well as Chief of the Violent Crime Division in Gwangju overseeing narcotics and organized crime investigations. Through these roles, he has developed deep expertise across every stage of narcotics cases, from investigation to trial. He has also served as an Outside Director at Aekyung Capital and as a Supervisory Committee Member of the National Federation of Saemaul Credit Cooperatives, and has advised various corporations, gaining strong professional insight into financial and corporate governance mechanisms. At the Asian headquarters of SJKP, Mr. Kim provides comprehensive legal services across criminal, civil, corporate and financial matters.
