James Meaney, Senior Associate

James Meaney is a member of the Litigation practice group at SJKP. He handles a wide array of cases including commercial disputes, real estate litigation, landlord/tenant matters, family law cases, divorces, and criminal defense. Throughout his career, now spanning over two decades, Mr. Meaney has represented individuals, small businesses, local municipalities, and international companies in both federal and state courts on the trial and appellate levels. His expansive knowledge of the procedural particularities of various local courts, coupled with his experience in a multitude of practice areas, allows him to provide potential and new clients with a comprehensive and straightforward analysis of their legal issue. His commitment to zealous advocacy governs his representation of his clients and their interests as he aims to bring their cases to expeditious and favorable resolutions. Mr. Meaney earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a recipient of the Cali Excellence for the Future Award on the basis of his legal writing.
